# Printed Fabric Swatches

Basic & Market Plan Feature

## <mark style="color:blue;">A Little About Printed Fabric Swatches</mark>

***Printed fabric swatches*** (also referred to as ***digital fabric swatches***) are digital versions of printed fabric. They are usually repeatable JPGs and often times will have a ruler along the bottom to denote the width of the swatch.

### <mark style="color:$primary;">Ways to Use Printed Fabric Swatches</mark>

To use printed fabric swatches in PreQuilt, you can either:

* Import printed fabric swatches
* Import photographs of your fabric
* Use the fabric collections preloaded in PreQuilt

Once inside PreQuilt, you can visualize your fabric choices in your quilts. If the swatch provided is smaller than the quilt piece, the digital swatch will be tiled to fill the space. You are also able to reposition and rotate your digital fabric swatch as well, like fussy cutting.

If the fabric you want to use is not already preloaded in PreQuilt, you can quickly and easily import a digital fabric swatch into PreQuilt to use.

### <mark style="color:$primary;">How to Import Printed Fabric Swatches</mark>

There are three ways to import printed fabric swatches, you can either:

* Find and download printed fabric swatches online
* Import individual fabric swatches using a URL
* Import photographs of your physical fabric (usually from your stash)

Once inside PreQuilt, you can visualize your fabric choices in your quilts. If the swatch provided is smaller than the quilt piece, the digital swatch will be tiled to fill the space. You are also able to reposition and rotate your digital fabric swatch as well, like fussy cutting.
