# 05 Finessing Your Quilt

Now that we have something to visualize, you might notice that you might want to change the colors a little or change the size of your quilt. In this module, I'll show you how you can easily make these changes!
## 01 Revising Color Tags
The great thing about PreQuilt is you can quickly and easily visualize ALL the color options. You can either revise the color tags intentionally by editing the color of a Color Tag. Or you can try the 'Randomize' button and see what happens!
### a | Edit a Color Tag
1. Click on the '**COLOR TAG**' tab on the left side control panel.
2. Click on the '**Edit**' button next to the color tag you'd like to change. In this example, I'm going to change Color Tag A, which I'm using as the background color.
3. Click on the **color swatch** for your new color selection.
4. The window will automatically close and the new colors are updated on the quilt.
### b | Randomizing Color Tags
If you're not sure about one (or all) your fabric colors, you can use the **Randomize** button to randomly generate color combinations for your Color Tags. As you find colors you like, you can also lock them so that they will not randomly change.
1. Click on the '**COLOR TAG**' tab on the left side control panel.
2. Click on the **Randomize** button () on the central Toolbar. You can push this as many times until you find at least one color you like.
3. Now there are 4 new colors for each of the Color Tags (A-D).
4. To keep a Color Tag from changing, it can be locked. To lock a Color Tag, click on its **lock button** () next to the Edit button.
* Once locked, it will not change when the Randomize button is used.
* In the example below, Color Tags B & C are locked.
5. Continue using the Randomize button or intentionally edit the Color Tags until you have your ideal color palette for your quilt design.
## 02 Rotating Blocks
Just like Color Tags, we can be both intentional about block rotation and use the built in randomizing features to randomly rotate the blocks.
### a | Intentional Block Rotation
To control the rotation of a block (or a selection of blocks):
1. On the quilt grid, select the **blocks** to rotate by clicking on them. To select multiple blocks, keep clicking on them. Selected blocks will be outlined in blue.

2. Click on the **Rotate** button () on the central Toolbar.
3. The selected blocks have now been rotated by 90 degrees.

### b | Randomly Rotate Blocks
To randomly rotate all (or selected blocks):
1. On the quilt grid, select the blocks to rotate. Selected blocks will be outlined in blue. In this example, I've selected all cell blocks.

2. Click on the **RANDOMIZE** tab on the left side control panel.
3. Click on the Rotate button on that tab.
4. The blocks will now be randomly rotated. This example is kind of subtle.
### c | Resetting Block Rotation
To reset all the blocks to their original rotation:
1. Select all the blocks by clicking on the **infinity symbol** in the top left hand corner of the quilt grid.

2. Click on the **ROTATE/MIRROR** tab on the left side control panel.
3. Click on the **Rotate Reset** button. This will reset all the blocks to their original rotation.
