01 Creating a Quilt Grid
// First PreQuilt Quilt //
ALERT: Once you select a quilt grid, you cannot change it. You'll need to start a new quilt if you want to change to a different grid.
The first thing to do when creating a new quilt on PreQuilt is to choose and build out your quilt grid.
01 Getting Started
From the dashboard - click on the 'QUILTS' tab.
Click on the 'Create Quilt' button.
02 Choose Your Grid Type & Block Size
PreQuilt Grids: We currently have 3 different grids - Rectangle, On-Point and Equilateral Triangle.
Once you click on 'Create Quilt' a pop-up window will appear.
Choose the grid that works for your quilt idea - rectangular, on-point (2 options) or equilateral triangle.
Enter the quilt block's width and height for your quilt for your selected grid. Measurements are in inches and can always be changed later.
Click on the 'Use This Grid' button.
03 Input Rows & Columns
Now that you have your grid selected and the default quilt block chosen, you can now input the number of rows and columns for your quilt.
The number of columns in the quilt will impact the overall width of the quilt, while the number of rows will impact the overall height.
Click on the 'GRID' tab on the left-side control panel.
The 'GRID' information will expand.
NOTE: In this expanded section, you can change the block dimensions, number of columns/rows OR control the overall width/height of the quilt.
The overall width and height of the quilt will automatically change according to the block size and number of columns and rows are in the quilt.
Change the number of columns (width of quilt) and number of rows (height of quilt) to your desired quilt dimensions. Keep in mind that these dimensions can easily be changed at any time.
To save, click on the 'Update' button.
